Sonic Majlis returns for session two with selector Tarik Omar.
Tarik will take us through 20+ years behind the decks, starting with the very first record he played at his very first gig.
Part listening sessions, part storytelling, part sonic collage - every record marks a place, a person, a discovery or a turning point.
Through music and short reflections, Tarik traces the rooms, detours and sounds that shaped him, and the records he keeps finding his way back to. Because the records stay the same, we don't, and somehow, they come to mean something new every time.

Mini Festival returns for its third edition on February 1, transforming 25hours Hotel One Central, Dubai into a vibrant hub for alternative music, creativity, and community from 4 PM till late. Designed as a multi-space cultural experience, the festival unfolds across six venues and brings together live bands, DJs and vinyl selectors, alongside workshops, talks, film screenings, a record fair, and a music marketplace. The day also features family-friendly activities, making it an inclusive celebration for music lovers of all ages. Access to certain venues is for strictly 21+
Rooted in Vinyl Souk’s ethos of music discovery and community-driven curation, the Mini Festival champions regional talent, independent voices, and meaningful cultural exchange—creating a space where sound, stories, and people come together.
